The most important place to me!

October 15th, 2008

Have you ever seen or read or heard about poverty. Have you ever wondered what poverty meant?Poverty is not only the homeless people without food or water in
Africa, but all over the world there are millions of people that are poor. Some of them have houses but yet they are still poor.

Have you ever felt like a trembling terror inside you like when you’re sacred when you see poor people on TV or hear about them?

You can make a difference now. Reduce the amount of poverty. Help save the lives of the needy.

You have the opportunity to go to school so use it wisely and go to school. It’s not going to do you any good if you steel money from people when you are older if you don’t have a job. That makes you useless if you steel.

I also have the opportunity to go to school and I do go. I have a certain place that I like in my school. Here it is.

My school library is the most important place to me because out of all the books I’ve read whether they are fiction or non-fiction I always learn something out of them.

It is also my favourite place because I have a passion of reading. My school library is the most important place to me when I read books from there they not only help me with my reading but they also help me with my drawing, painting & colouring because I get pictures in my head of what is going on in the story while I am reading it. It also helps with my writing to bring the pictures from my head from all the different stories into my own one.

Like a film forming on a cinema screen the words come to life on my page.

So please comment and tell me what you think and I will try to get back to you. Remember that you won’t be just commenting o my blog but you will be commenting to the poor.

Is education important for all children?

October 15th, 2008

If you read on you will be expecting why education is important for all children.

Why?

1.     Education is important for all children because if when they are young they don’t get a good education life will be difficult for them when they try to get a job.

2.     Education is important for all children because they may learn things in school that may help them in life’s experiences.

3.     Education is important for all children because if they don’t have a good job they won’t be happy. They won’t have a good job because they might not have had a good education.

4.     Education is important for all children because if some want to become teachers when they are older they would need to have the knowledge to teach others.

5.     Education is important for all children because children need a happy education for a happy life.

Please leave a comment and tell me if you think education is important for all children and remember without good education you won’t have a good job later on in life! J

Enthusiastic Entrance!

September 26th, 2008

The petrifying flame is light, you can hear the crackle of it burning like a never ending candle.Eagerly striding up the ramp, I enter the stadium & stand respectfully & peacefully not able to stop the emotion of excitement that is about to burst from inside me.

Determination in my heart and hope in my eyes, I hear the crowd’s cheers as the fireworks cascade like a million pieces of paper being confettied around us.

Religous Ramadan!

September 8th, 2008

Have you ever wondered what it’s like to be poor? I don’t mean poor  that you don’t have enough money, but that you don’t have money at all.

People everyday are suffering from hunger and thirst, many dying from the cold or the heat and not having enough food and water. Think of people in
Africa and many countries that have polluted water & people that are homeless. How many people sponsor them each year do you think?I will tell you: not many.So really long ago Muslim’s had a tradition and still have it now. They for a whole month fast!

What is fasting you say? Well fasting is when you can’t eat or drink anything for a whole month. Don’t worry it’s not really a whole month it’s actually like this. Everyday when it gets dark at about 6:00 pm we can eat. The whole point of this is to know how the poor feel & not take advantage of what you have.

Many things have happened to me during Ramadan like: People have come up to me and said “ Mmmmmmmmm, you can’t eat, this food tastes so good.”This is a sign of them taking advantage of what they have and using it against others. For this reason I strive to Fast as long as I can throughout this month and the days in it.

A word of advice, if you see someone fasting don’t try and distract them with food!

Jumping Jolly bops!

July 22nd, 2008

Flickering flames, bursting balloons, super scientist and random robot. You may be asking what are all these? Well I have the answer; these words represent the amazing Jolly bops show!

From a safe distance we saw the process of three balloons being popped by a flame of fire on a stick, a lid bursting off the top of a container with no one touching it because of too much air pressure and gas inside the tin.

I was one of the lucky people that got to take photos along with my two best friends Nadine and Momtahina. Some boys got to play the didgeridoo and the jolly Professor and Rusty the robot were the teachers of the lesson.

The Jolly professor made a flower pop out of a pot by using his magic wand. Rusty the robot sang us a song while playing the guitar and two girls turned rain sticks while four other girls and the Jolly professor played sticks. The song was called raining on the rock.

Everyone had an amazing time and we hoped that they would come again next year.

Freedom!!!!!

May 30th, 2008

This is something in my life that I do not have. I do not have freedom. You may be thinking that it is impossible to not have freedom but not in my life. Some girls or children are allowed to go to their friends houses, go out with their friends and get to choose what they want in their future. It’s different with me, I am a Muslim girl that wears the scarf on her head and I respect that fact but what annoys me is that others don’t.

They say that it ruins your life and you go paranoid by not having to choose what you want because someone is choosing it for you! The people that are choosing what I want and my future are my parents and I am okay with that. If it was someone else that was choosing I wouldn’t be okay but these people  are my parents, the people that raised me.

My mother for instance, she was the one that gave me my life practically. My father worked day and night to provide my family with money to buy food and drink for us to survive, although I shouldn’t be going into my family life.

Well I just wanted to say that all the kids or girls out there who still have a chance to be free, then stop worrying abut everyone and everything around you and go out have fun.  Be free!!!!  Be free!!!! Be free!!!. (Hope you don’t think I am over reacting!!)
